EVASA’s business focuses on obtaining forest products, high-quality wood and its derivatives, which are efficiently commercialized according to customer needs and care for the environment.

SINCE 1998,
THE COMPANY IS DEDICATED
TO THE ESTABLISHMENT
AND MANAGEMENT OF
PINE PLANTATIONS

The species used are native to the southeast of the United States and Central America (Pinus taeda, Pinus elliottii and Pinus elliottii x Pinus caribaea), and, although introduced by man, these species have been adapted for many years and are widely cultivated and distributed throughout the Argentinian Mesopotamia.

The plantations are harvested after 18 to 24 years of growth, followed by the tasks of sorting residues and preparing the land to start the planting process again. The current weighted average age of EVASA’s plantations is 13 years.

The inflow of water supplying for the plantations is mainly obtained from rainfall. The roots capture water from soil at the surface, providing the water resources of the forested area. The scale of extension of the plantations in reference to the extension of the Iberá wetlands does not alter the water supply of the latter or the flow of their drains.
